Star Storage released his own Foundation, after over 10 years of active involvement in sustainable development projects for civil society
Star Storage, Romanian top provider for storage, archiving and information management (data and documents) solutions, Outsourcing Data Center and Cloud services, launches the STAR STORAGE FOUNDATION, that focuses on achieving and involving in campaigns, programs and social projects that actively contribute to problems solving and development of the Romanian society.
“Within 10 years, Star Storage has developed, supported and was actively involved in social responsibility campaigns, which had positive real effects and significantly contributed to the improvement and solving certain of existing problems in the Romanian society. We believe that we have accumulated a lot of experience in this long period, on that we count in ours endeavor to launch our own foundation – Star Storage Foundation.
We start on this new road very enthusiastic, because we are convinced that we will be able to do much more and very confident that we will succeed in whatever we propose. Our experience of humanitarian projects implemented by Star Storage demonstrates that, if we take attitude, if we help and concretely act as defined, we can save lives, we can actively contribute to solving real problems, we can change in better Romanians mentality regarding the involvement in humanitarian causes and even positive influence the level of involvement of the community in practical measures. We propose through all our projects to achieve valuable things that matter, and, in addition to humanitarian projects, we intend to invest in sustainable development programs to help valuable or with potential people to grow and evolve to make performance in all areas.
We want to contribute to the sustainable development of Romania as a competitive country, able to respect and to promote the values, but also to keep them, and we are very confident that we will be able to fulfill all the objectives together with all those who would like to join us”, said Catalin Paunescu, Managing Director Star Storage & President Star Storage Foundation.
The main objectives of Star Storage Foundation are:
- projects and programs development in health, education, that will contribute to community, civil society and culture development;
- initiation of projects aimed at improve living conditions of the Romanians, especially children, the elderly, young people and families who are part of disadvantaged communities;
- development of projects in order to change the mentality about supporting, promoting and developing exceptional people and opening up new opportunities for them;
- support campaigns aimed at fostering solidarity and communication between generations, encouraging volunteerism and community spirit in the communities in which they are involved.

Star Storage Foundation will take over and continue social responsibility campaigns and programs initiated by Star Storage, and currently in progress:
- The “The race for life must go on” campaign – which aims to raise funds to help diagnosing leukemia in children and teenagers by the improving of the molecular genetics laboratories’ conditions of the Fundeni Institute;
- The “Blood is Life” campaign – the endowment campaign of Blood Transfusion Centre’s in the direction of blood collection and storage in optimal conditions and promoting the need for blood donation;
- The “Believe in Romania” program – supporting and promoting the valuable Romans, the elites, promoting Romanian intelligence by supporting students and young researchers who have an idea and want put it into practice, promoting entrepreneurship and the people who have the ability to make things happen.
